Typically, I have been on the chill corner keeping meets alive with car culture, I am here because my love for hacking in general since coming to defcon in 1998, When I started this up in 2014, I had help, we had meets that was technically at my place at the time.
Friends they come and go, they may or may not show up to defcon but they all since moved leaving me to hold down the fort. In the past years, I’ve had some interets to open myself and attempted to grow this again, but with some recent developments: I’ve had some people joined, I’ve let them know I need people to give me a helping hand, to startup new meets and support to get up and runing again branching from my Once a month meet. I’ve even opened my own discord for the situation to start growing, but I’ve had a set of people joined then they quit and technically have said “f you” and started their own group. Like if I did something wrong, and I found out this group because some other people seen it shortly leaving it and got me to join their group where I’ve had their moderators to tell me to abandon my group forcefully put this domain to their domain. I rather ignore that basically instead of collaborating to join forces I got technically another “f you” towards me. No one has reached out to me or wanted to address this and because of that there is 2 defcon groups, just technically I’d becareful with the other group regardless of their affiliation.
So I will continue my dc702.net and keep it going.
This month Meet will be another saturday, normally the 3rd saturday of each month. 6/8 normally after 7pm, rolling up to a sonic burger off of patrick lane.
Changed to the second Saturday.
