DC702 Meet – Sonic 07/13

Well, in case you missed it a small discussion on how a simple of poorly made software that can cripple a network was discussed.

A recent event that took place that came down because of some missing standards of procedures and lack of documentation that crippled one department causing it to flex pressure on another department.  Lack of knowledge rendered 100 computers from a network of 4,000 useless over a network of windows machines that is poorly configured to begin with.

It doesn’t matter who makes the software and even the vendor has no real solution when the disaster happened.

Moral of the story is, that it can happen to anyone in any department of IT.

One department can follow a rules and guidelines doesn’t mean the other will play the same rules and guidelines.
